Dr. Lochan is an established Interventional cardiologist, to his credit he started the First Cardiac Cath lab & Interventional Cardiology department in Dubai, 6 years ago at Welcare hospital. He has worked in past at the Middlesex hospital, London, Lecturer cardiology, university of Leicester, Ass. Professor of cardiology, G.B. Pant hospital & Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He established Electrophysiology section both at Batra & Apollo Hospitals while working as Co-ordinator of the cardiology department & Sr. Consultant Cardiologist for 15 years at New Delhi.

He served in past as President, Indian college of Cardiology. He was honoured by the award of Fellowship of Indian College of Cardiology & Indian Academy of Medical specialists. He is fully registered with General Medical Council(UK), Nepalese Medical Council, Delhi Medical council and Indian Medical council. He established post graduate teaching programme, DNB- cardiology, the highest award in cardiology in India, at Batra hospital.

He was one of the early super-specialists in cardiology in India, obtaining DM cardiology degree as early as in 1978, after completion of MD medicine degree. He is a keen researcher and has served as, Director Cardiac Research, at Delhi and published and presented his work in innumerable national & International societies.
