Dr. Lochan is an established Interventional cardiologist, to his credit he started the First Cardiac Cath lab & Interventional Cardiology department in Dubai, 6 years ago at Welcare hospital. He has worked in past at the Middlesex hospital, London, Lecturer cardiology, university of Leicester, Ass. Professor of cardiology, G.B. Pant hospital & Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He established Electrophysiology section both at Batra & Apollo Hospitals while working as Co-ordinator of the cardiology department & Sr. Consultant Cardiologist for 15 years at New Delhi. |
He served in past as President, Indian college of Cardiology. He was honoured by the award of Fellowship of Indian College of Cardiology & Indian Academy of Medical specialists. He is fully registered with General Medical Council(UK), Nepalese Medical Council, Delhi Medical council and Indian Medical council. He established post graduate teaching programme, DNB- cardiology, the highest award in cardiology in India, at Batra hospital.
He was one of the early super-specialists in cardiology in India, obtaining DM cardiology degree as early as in 1978, after completion of MD medicine degree. He is a keen researcher and has served as, Director Cardiac Research, at Delhi and published and presented his work in innumerable national & International societies.
